The Symington Family acquired Quinta do Vesuvio in 1989 investing on a huge scale, rekindling Vesuvio’s legendary standing.  One of the Douro Valley’s most renowned Quintas, famous for its outstanding Vintage Ports, proudly launched its first dry wines (Douro DOC) in 2009.

A few years assessing and experimenting with several vineyard sites within the property, followed by two probing, test-vintages, finally culminated in the decision to make their first dry wine from Quinta do Vesuvio in the exceptional 2007 vintage.
