Matriarca is a wonderful old townhouse located in the heart of Porto’s historic Carlos Alberto Square, which dates to the 17th century. It features a restaurant, two bars, and a bottle shop and hosts wine courses and workshops.

The Dining Room brings together traditional British & Portuguese cuisine paired with Portugals' finest wines and served in a warm, elegant space.

The Wine Bar is vibrant and lively, offering a more casual dining experience with the same selection of wines and ports by the glass, bottle, or as a flight. This lower level of the townhouse hosts live music and events. 

The Cellar Shop is a traditional bottle shop offering an unparalleled selection of our family’s wines and ports.
