The Quinta da Fonte Souto Varietal Series is a limited collection of wines made from the best individual grape variety of a given vintage. In 2021, the Syrah grape variety performed exceptionally well on the slopes of Serra de São Mamede. As a result, the Symington family decided to release the third wine of the series, the Quinta da Fonte Souto Syrah 2021.

Syrah finds on the slopes of Serra de São Mamede terroir the ability to express the extraordinary complexity and elegance that characterisethe wines of Fonte Souto. The Quinta da Fonte Souto Syrah embodies all the virtues of the unique terroir of the property: the freshness and balance of altitude, and the complexity and structure of low-yield mature vines.
