Planted in 2015 near Quinta do Retiro, in the Rio Torto valley, the Tapadinha vineyard sits at an altitude of 580m above the Rio Torto. It occupies around 5,65 ha in what is one of the most famous sub-regions in the Douro.

This is one of three experimental vineyards with libraries of specific grape varieties, chosen according to terroir and to help us advance the study of viticulture as well as gain more knowledge on the varietals. Tapadinha has a set of 11 white varieties planted, all aimed at the production of high-quality Douro white wines.
