Blandy's Vintage Verdelhos are single harvest Madeiras.  They are aged in the traditional "Canteiro" system where the casks are gradually transferred from the warmer rooms of the lodge to the cooler rooms.  The wine is regularly racked and when it has reached its peak, the winemaker, Francisco Albuquerque, presents it to the tasting panel for final approval.
