Verdelho is grown on the north of the island at Ponta Delgada & São Vincente at an altitude up to 400 metres. Golden in color, this has marginally more body than the Sercial, and is a tangy fine textured wine.
Features good cut to the dried pear and melon flavors, complemented by notes of melted butter. Well-spiced on the fresh, minerally finish, showing some savory accents.

Rich brown sugar and gentle caramelised aromas though more orangey on the palate with roasted nuts. Sufficiently fresh clean finish.

...has a delineated, vivacious bouquet with dried quince, orange peel and a touch of sea water. The palate is medium-bodied with a pleasant honeyed texture on the entry, very well judged acidity, those oxidative/nutty notes neatly counterbalancing the sweetness and viscosity towards the finish with some aplomb.
